Boot menu If you unlock the battery, and remove it, lock it after five seconds and keep the external "Ok" button pressed while turning your machine on, you will see a rescue menu in Japanese. There are four possibilities, which lead to: cancel System Check Erase all / Format (all data will be lost!) must plug in to AC adapter flash/update This tip comes from KAIKAN (now offline)
Service Menus unplug AC adapter Unlock the battery, and remove it, Press and keep the external "D" & "M" keys pressed insert the battery, lock it again. and turn on your machine (some models it will start automatically) next you will see a 3(+) page menus in English. plug in AC adapter at this point if you want to. (keep the D & M keys pressed the whole time, or this will not work) BE CAREFUL IN HERE, YOU COULD KILL YOUR Zaurus :( This tip comes from Michael (it's also in the manual :)
Service Menus - interesting points! in the "Service Mode" Page 2/3 (described above) you'll see this:
NAND backups Original Japanese NAND backups: (C700/C750/C760/C700/C860/C1000/C3000) To use: Service Menu 3/3 NAND Flash restore (from CF card with unzipped ROM image) C760 ROM won't work on C700 etc, so don't bother :)	SL-C700 (new 1.5 ROM), SL-C750 (English & Japanese) SL-C760 (open Z and original) SL-C860 (JPN ROM) NOTE: some files require WINRAR
